Welcome to The Messy Art Lab — a creative space designed just for kids to explore, imagine, and create.

Located in Harvard, Illinois, The Messy Art Lab offers hands-on art experiences for children ages 2–10 that encourage them to express themselves freely while having fun. From classes and open studio time to parties, everything we do is centered around giving kids the opportunity to learn through creativity.

We believe that art is about more than the final project — it’s about the process. Our activities are designed to spark imagination, build confidence, and help children develop important skills like problem-solving, fine motor coordination, and creative thinking. There’s no pressure for perfection here — just a supportive environment where kids are encouraged to try new things and enjoy the experience.

At The Messy Art Lab, we take care of everything. All materials are provided, projects are thoughtfully planned, and yes — we handle the cleanup too. That means kids can fully enjoy creating, and parents can relax knowing their child is in a safe, engaging, and enriching space.

With small group sizes and plenty of encouragement, every child gets the attention they need to feel confident and proud of what they create. Whether they’re painting, building, or experimenting with new materials, each visit is a chance to learn, grow, and have fun.
